My design consisted of a bamboo cutting board with an integrated magnetic knife storage in the handle. This makes it easier to grab and hold the board, and safer to move around.

I researched multiple materials and methods of production, and chose a bamboo cutting surface in an ABS shell. I designed the product to be as simple and user friendly as possible. The magnets were chosen for their heat resistance, so that the product could be cleaned using the dishwasher.

Over the course of this project I learned how to apply a designlanguage during the design process, as well as how to integrate various visual elements.
